Syncro was asked by the Connecting Cultures Foundation to facilitate a 6 day desert based event in the Sultanate of Oman. 15 young adults from 6 different cultures worked together to complete a 100km desert crossing whilst undertaking team challenge projects en route.
'It was an incredible opportunity for young people from different backgrounds to experience a physically challenging programme whilst enhancing their awareness and understanding of other cultures.'

Andrew Johnson of Syncro joined the initiative to help the students develop some of the key life skills which are fundamental for them as individuals in everyday life. This was done on a daily basis through the facilitation of structured dialogue by getting the group to undertake a series of mini challenge projects. The main focus areas being on inter-cultural awareness and understanding, decision-making and effective communication
Andrew was also supported by The Bluespot Knee Clinic having being granted the ‘Bluespot Breitling Award’ giving him an opportunity to use a state of the art Breitling Emergency Watch to help with the remote crossing.
